The new Snake Eyes 685 irons come in two mix 'n match models, one (685) a bit more forgiving than the other (685X).

  Design advances make the Snake Eyes 685X our highest-quality players' iron yet. To make each forged clubhead, we compress a soft 1035 carbon steel billet with 800 tons of force five times, creating an extremely tight grain structure that produces superior feel and controllability.

• The Snake Eyes 685 iron design is for better golfers seeking a bit more forgiveness.  With a slightly larger face profile, a bit more offset and beefier soles, the 685 irons incorporate the same styling as the 685X irons but bring the look of a player's club to the masses.   The 685 irons use a soft-feeling 6820 carbon steel, which is multilayer plated with nickel and chrome. Coming in June 2010.
